Facts and Events
George Swallow was born on 12th January 1832 and baptised a month later at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire. He was the son of a straw plaiter named Elizabeth Swallow, formerly Catline, and her husband William Swallow, an agritcultural labourer. When he was baptised the family lived at Hollybush, near the hamlet of Mackerye End. George appears in the 1841 census living with his parents and siblings at Gustard Wood in Wheathampstead. He has yet to be researched after 1841.
