George Smith was born in 1851 in Luton, son of Ann Smith formerly Seabrook and her husband George Smith, an agricultural labourer. He was baptised when he was about two years old, on Christmas Day 1853. He appears with his parents in Luton in the 1861 census. He has yet to be traced after the 1861 census.
