DEPOSITION FOR GEORGE R. SESSIONS, U. S. ARMY PENSION APP.,Madison Co., FL: Form of Guardians application for increase of pensions under the 2nd Sec of the act of July 25 1866 State of Florida SS County of Madison On this 26th day of January AD 1870 Personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County Francis C Morgan a resident of Taylor County and State of Florida aged 27 years who being first duly sworn according to law doth on his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the Revision made by the 2ndSection of the act of Congress increasing the pensions of widows and orphans approved July twenty five Eighteen hundred and Sixty Six that he is the guardian of Michael M Sessions, Mary S Sessions, Lewy M Sessions, Martha A Sessions, William H H Sessions whose father was a Corporal in Company C commanded by Capt (?) W Whitfield and 1st Lieut Pool in the 2nd Regiment of Fla" Cav" Vol" in the war of 1861 and that the said George R Session died at Cedar Keys, Fla on the 17th day of February in the year of wounds received in battle on the 14 day of Feb 1865near Cedar Keys Fla that the mother of the children aforesaid again married being the wife of Alfred Starling the said marriage was on the 12th day of Oct 1865 and that the dates of birth of the said minor children were as follows to wit Michael M Sessions was born July 26th 1855, Mary S Sessions was born June 25th 1857, Lewy M Sessions was born January 27th 1859,Martha A Sessions was born March 9th 1860, William H H Sessions was born March 31 1861. He further declares the the parents of the said minor children were married near Madison C H in Madison County Fla" on the 5th day of Oct in the year of 1854 by John W Anderson Justice of the Peace and that the maiden name of their mother was Bethany Morgan.
