Services for George W. Schneider, 79, of 1027 Oakdale Drive, will be at 11 am Saturday at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. He died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Schneider, a native of Campbell County, KY, came to Oklahoma City in 1908. He was a pressroom foreman for the Daily Oklahoman and the Oklahoma City Times, working as a pressman 29 years prior to his retirement in 1960. He was a member of Putnam City Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Faye; two daughters, Mrs Bill Broderson, Eunice, LA; and Mrs Charlotte Carpenter, 5514 NW 42; and a sister, Mrs Lillian Leddy, 3217 NW 21. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation cancer fund.
