In addition to the possible baptisms listed in the notes and quoted as facts by other researchers the are 4 other births of a George Potts in Alnham between 1700 and 1704 all with different parents. 1704 is about the last possible date for his birth due to his marriage, he could even have been born as early as 1689.

All the children's baptism records show the family lived a Prendick (several alternative spellings like the current Prendwick), a hamlet a few kilometres north of Alnham and a few kilometres west of Whittingham where he married his first wife. There is no indication of what work he did although Prendick may have been the site of a water mill or a farm. In 1894 it was listed as a farm in Kellys directory[1] and is still one now,

There is no definite date for his death but his last child was born in 1751 so he lived, at least, until 1750.
