GEORGE was born in downtown Columbus, in a home at the northwest corner of 7th and Washington Streets. He attended Indiana University, and Wabash College.

George was a Civil Engineer, Deputy County Treasurer, Bookkeeper and Cashier at First National Bank. He was the Treasurer of Cincinnati Coffin Company. Also Bartholomew County Auditor. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, as was his Hart ancestors.

He was one of the organizers of the Bartholomew County Historical Society.

Died age 77.
