    George Vance Lusk married Elizabeth Hopper Lacy on 28 December 1801 in Livingston County, Kentucy. The marriage was performed by Terah Tamplin and is filed with the 1803 records. He was a Lieutenant in the 24th Regiment of Kentucky State Militia in about 1803. He is also listed as a justice for 1816 Golconda, Pope County, Illinois. After he moved to Texas, he was listed as a Chief Justice appointed by the First Congress of the Republic of Texas. He was also the President of the Texas Board of Land Commissioners. He remarried in Texas after the death of Elizabeth Hopper Lacy in 1849.
