This book described a LOWER family who migrated to Pennsylvania, from the Kingdom of Wurttemburg, along the Rhine River. They were NOT related to George Lower, but the author stated that "I am requested by the brothers of Hot Springs, Arkansas, to incorporate their history into this book, so that it may be preserved". Rev. Lower (of Colorado) goes on to write where he thinks their family is connected - but he was mistaken.
George's family was from the Saarland. However, in the book's APPENDIX he did have a valuable 7 pages on the descendants of George's father, Dr. John Strange Lower.
