He was one of the many greatest generations. Was a WW II hero and didn'tsay anything about it -- Kept it all inside like many other WW IIsoldiers that came home. They went on about their business and tried toforget what had happened to them in the war. Dad was awarded the PurpleHeart for wounds inflicted by an enemy of the USA - Twice. Once in thePhilippines, and the 2nd, more serious wound in Okinawa, gining him anOak leave cluster for the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the following: Bonze star 45 years afther the war,Philippine Liberation Medal w/3 bronze stars, Asiatic/Pacific Theater w/3bronze stars and a bronze arrow head for a combat landing assault in thePhilippine Islands, WW II Victory Medal, Good conduct Medal, and AmericanCampaign.

Cause of Death: Tired...Kidney failure and anuerisms.

Burial: 12/17/1998 Full Military Honors as bestowed upon most AmericanHeros.
