Thanks for your prompt reply....... It may seem that the majority of Vital and Historical Records Centers ,including the town libraries,don't give a damn about ones ancestors ,but most of them are not really staffed to do even a minor search-

you have to ask them to point you to "the Room" and then dig in..................

You noted that you have the US census-MA and I suggested the next step would be a search of the Melrose City Directories Anyhow, I've been there,and done that and I have good news that the George/Cora et als Life story and last known address are recorded there, which I have transcribed and printed below----

My next step is to get Cora Ellen's death cert at the town hall and then George A.C.'s death cert

At this point it looks as if your Aunt Dorothy never married but lived at home with Geo/Cora and took care of them to the end, which was about 1951-1952 at 22 Howard St for George A.C. Knight and about 1961-1962 at the MacKenzie Nursing Home on 24 VINE St for Cora Ellen ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,As I get the data I will EMail it to you it will include cemetery, Church, and other VR's data-

It seems that at 22 Howard St ,a Walter and Ida M Knight appeared at the time of your grandpa's death-- maybe a relative I would like to hear of some of your memories.....time permitting.......

Of course there is possibility of getting a copy of GAC's will at the Probate Office in Cambridge Also any or all Deeds with your Grandparents signatures ................

P.S. -Geo and 3 children, Dot/Rich/William were ,I believe, all assoc with the John Hancock Insurance Co in Boston,MA.......maybe a source of further data........hmmmmmm
