DEATH: Coventry, Rhode Island Historical Cemeteries By Dr. Bill Eddleman and John E. Sterling 1998 Oakland Cemetery Coventry Historical Cemetery #69 This cemetery is located 20 feet south of Maple Avenue at telephone pole #12. It contains 2500 burials with 1775 gravestones the sections were lettered from 'A' to 'G' going west to east and the section north of Maple Avenue was labeled 'Z'. Map numbers were assigned to the gravestones starting in the northwest corner with #1 and proceeding down the west side of each section. The highest number in each section is in the northeast corner.
