    Marriage, Magdalena Leiter, and the daughter of Christian Leiter and Elizabeth (Eve) Oster. Her burial location has not been established. He was the oldest son of Martin Jacobs and Barbara Musselman.
    Child: The only child George Jacobs, married Elizabeth Johnston, of Hagerstown, Washington County, MD. In 1824, he and his family removed to Fulton County, Ill. In 1844 he removed to Iowa County, Wis., and there reside until his death, May 16, 1878, Elizabeth, his wife, died March 26, 1866.

    George Jacobs married Magdalena Leiter, a member of the family that has given its name to the village of Leitersburg. Children: George Jacobs, the only child of Geroge and Magdalena, born 24 November 1790.
    George Jacobs died 16 November 1790. (One of) the first to be buried in cemetery at Jacobs church.
