    Topeka Daily Capital, Thursday, Aug. 13, 1903, page 8:

    C. W. Humbert died Tuesday night at midnight at the home, 2300 Lincoln street, at the age of 67 years. He was a veteran of the Civil war and contracted ailments in the service that lasted the rest of his life.

    He is survived by a wife and seven children, John N., Frank, Wiley, Mrs. Elsie V. Leach, Mrs. Nettie French of Holly, Colo., Mrs. Chas. W. Spreng, and Mrs. W.F. Stahl.

    The funeral will be from the house to-day at 2 o'clock.
