 George L. Horning, 87, Berlin RD 4, died July 18, 1987, at Somerset Community Hospital.  He was born April 30, 1900, in Meyersdale, a son of Richard E. and Ida (Shumac) Horning.  Preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Flora Kendall, in 1969; a grandchild; brothers: Bill, Edward, John and Harry; and a sister Henrietta.
