    GEORGE B. HENDRICKSON

George Brazil Hendrickson was born in Darke county, Ohio, April 19, 1859, and died at his home in Lucas, Iowa, December 5, 1922, at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 16 days.

When a small boy he moved with his parents to Warren county, Iowa, settling near Liberty Center, where he grew to manhood.

On December 25, 1881, he was united in marriage to Miss Salinda Marker. To this union 14 children were born. They are as follows: Mrs. Isabell Smith, Perry, Iowa; Mrs. Pearl Smith, Valley Junction; Charles, Bertha, Beulah and Viola, who died in infancy; John, who died at the age of 18; Frank, of Percy, Iowa; George, Alva and Archie, of Red Rock, Iowa; Mrs. Tina Neer, of Lacona; and Elsie and Ernest, of Lucas.

About thirty-six years ago he united with the Christian church and a few days prior to his death indicated that he was praying for guidance to the Great Beyond. Mr. Hendrickson was a great sufferer, but bore his afflictions patiently.

He leaves to mourn his loss, Mrs. Hendrickson, 9 children, all of whom were with their mother in this sad bour; two brothers, John, of Randall, Minn.; Joseph, of Chariton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Curnes, of Liberty Center; Mrs. Letha Hiatt, of Indianola, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; many friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held at the U. B. church, north of Norwood, Thursday, Dec. 7, conducted by Rev. Wolfe, of Woodburn. Burial followed in the Fletcher cemetery.
