Johann George was born at harvest time (August) and baptized on December 2 5, 1770 by the Reverend Daniel Schumacher who ministered to Lutheran and R eformed congregations throughout this part of PA John George was ov er 14 at his father's death but still a minor. His brother-in-law, Rhineh ardt Schnepp was appointed guardian. Johann George was a sponsor at the ba ptism of his nephew(son of J Adam) on December 11, 1795.
