    Carelessly lost a Burnside carbine, Nov./Dec. 1863, the price of which ($35.00) was held against his pay.

    AWOL Jul./Aug. 1864. Unofficial source (Virginia State Library Records) state that he deserted.

    Paroled in Staunton, Va. 12 June 1865; 6'0", fair complexion, brown eyes, light hair.
