George Ferree, an old settler of this county, who lived just south of town, died yesterday afternoon.

The late George W. Ferree had no children, but was evidently fond of them, for he had taken no less that 7 different orphans to raise, most of whom continued with him until they grew up to manhood or womanhood. His will was admitted to probate a few days ago, in it, he provides for giving each of his adopted children, $100.
