From the April 1, 1967, edition of the Muscatine (IA) Journal George Feltman WILTON -- George Feltman, 72, of 811 Maurer St., died at 5:30 pm Friday at his farm north of Wilton following a heart attack. The son of John and Etta Dixon Feltman, he was born on Feb. 22, 1895, at Wilton. After living for a time in Chamberlain, S.D., he returned to Wilton 31 years ago. He married Bessie Olinger on Nov. 8, 1914, at Chamberlain, S.D. Mr. Feltman was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Florence) Andera of Wilton, and three brothers, Lincoln, Harold and Roscoe, all of Chamberlain, S.D. Three grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Griffith funeral home in Wilton with Rev. I.G. Wilkins officiating. Interment will be at the Oakdale cemetery. Friends may call at the Griffith funeral home after 7:30 tonight. Wilkins officiating. Mrs. Paul Maurer was the organist and Max Lauser the vocalist. Pallbearers were Louis Timmsen, William Thede, Herbert Fick, Oscar Bohnsack, Harold Wacker Sr. and Edward Harder. Mrs. Hilbert Kelley and Mrs. Nevin Kelley were in charge of floral arrangements. Interment was in Oakdale cemetery. Feltman died at his farm north of Wilton Friday afternoon. |
