Records of Concord Monthly Meeting, pages 96-99. The Concord Monthly Meeting records. George Eavinson (Con Mtg) offers ack 12-6-1756 for m. by priest (his father living) - accepted 1-3-1757. It also lists the children of George and Mary along with their birth dates. Along with those records, Richard is shown to have died 4-30-1816 aged 89-3-11 in Thornbury. Mary is shown to have died 7-7-1828 aged over 100 in Thornbury. Pennsylvania, Chester County, "Will Book M", 1881, page 236. Last will and testament of George Eavenson. In the name of God Amen. I George Eavenson of the Township of Thornbury in the County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania being wake (weak) in body but sound in mine (mind) and memory do this the thirty first day of the Tenth Month in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say: First. I give and bequeath unto Mary my beloved wife one cow and one horse of her own choice out of my stock and all my household goods except my desk and likewise I give to her the rents and profits of all my houses and lands during her natural life and after her decease I then give and devise unto my son Richard all my houses and lands, laying and being in the place above mentioned bounded by lands of Hugh Reed, Thomas Mercer and others to him and his heirs and assigns forever he paying the several legacys and sums hereafter mentioned. I leave and bequeath unto my son Joseph the sum of forty dollars. I leave and bequeath unto my son Eli the sum of one dollar. I leave and bequeath unto my son Jesse the sum of one dollar. I likewise leave and bequeath unto my grandchildren George, Thomas, William, John, Sarah, Mary and Phoebe Massey the sum of three dollars each. It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses should be paid. I also leave unto my son Richard my desk and all the residue of stock and personal estate and lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Mary and my son Richard my whole and sole Executors of this my last will and revoking and making null and void all other will or wills before made and declaring this and this only to be my last will and testament. In testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid. Then personally appeared Hugh Reed and George Mercer, the said Hugh on his Solomn Affirmation and the said George on his Solemn Oath, did severally say that they were personally present and did see and hear George Eavenson The Testator in the foregoing Instrument of Writing named Sign Seal Publish pronounce and declare the same as and for his last will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound and well disposing mind and memory to the best of their knowledge and belief. Affirmed and Sworn forum Robert Sproul. Know all men by these presents that I Mary Eavenson, Widow and relict of the late George Eavenson of the Township of Thornbury deceased Delaware hereby renounce all my right title and Interest to the Executrixship of the said deceased's Estate and request the Register to grant letters to my son Richard The Executor in the said Testament named.
