He was disowned by the Concord Monthly Meeting 5 April 1783 for marrying outside of his faith. He was a Revolutionary Soldier and drew a lot of land in 1827 in Georgia. Eli was on the Muster Rolls of the War of the Revolution as a private in Captain Joseph Mendenhall's Second Company, Pennsbury Township, Pennsylvania; Chester County, Militia, 3rd Battalion, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel John Hannum, 1781. He was in the War of 1812, volunteered Light Infantry, Private, Pennsylvania Militia, 2nd Regiment under Captain Taylor 5 September 1814; discharged 5 December 1814. It has been handed down that Eli Eavenson and wife, son George and two daughters came to Georgia from Virginia in a covered wagon, crossing the James River on ice. Other notes: 1.
