Mary Overby was still listed on her Widowed mother's Chesterfield census in June of 1880. The Charles Davis family including George was first listed on the Chesterfield census in June of 1880, after moving there from Michigan. The next census period is 1900, and George and Mary are listed in Joplin, MO., with six children, and number of years married listed as 20. All other information ie birth place, parents' place of birth, etc. jives with previous records. CONCLUSION--George & Mary must have married between June 9, 1880 (census date) and August 24, 1881 (Charles' bday).
