The will of George Davidson, of Rowan County, NC proved in 1760.
He mentions his three sons:
1. George Davidson
2. Samuel Davidson
3. William Davidson

and which he appoints his trusted friends Alexander Osborne and John Brevard, as guardians of this younger children. The youngest son "William" was Gen. William Lee Davidson, of the revolution, whose widow and children settled in Davidson, Tennessee
