    [Additional info (no source given) from his wife's page: The schoolhouse was built on the Northwest corner of their property which was later called halftway [sic] schoolhouse. Elizabeth and George were the parents of the first birth and death in the halfway settlement. In 1856 Thomas Jefferson Dragoo went to live with his Aunt Elizabeth when his mother,Susannah Lewellen Dragoo died. Two years later he met his wife,Mary Magdaline Current. George was her uncle. They were the founders of the Redkey Methodist Church. ]
