The youngest son of Andrew and Mary Ann presents something of a proble m. The 1861 Census of Townsend Twp Ontario has the son George list ed as three years old. The 1900 Census for Madison Twp Sandusky Cou nty OH has Daniel, born August 1859. The Lamb family Bible shows G. D. Cunningham, born August 6, 1859. There is nothing to warrant the possi bility that George and Daniel were twins - the Bible record would have sho wn that. There is one family story that attempts to explain the disappear ance of George from later records. My source said that, as a young man, G eorge joined the army, was shanghaied by the Navy, went to sea and was nev er heard from again. It is a good story, but apparently just that, a stor y. It is logical that George and Daniel are the same person, and bas ed on this assumption, Daniel was Andrew and Mary Ann's seventh chil d. In 1879 Daniel moved to OH and in 1883 married Lillian Ida Bower s. Ida was born in March 1866 in MI and died June 8, 1910 in Gibson burg. Daniel was a laborer and died April 17, 1907 in Gibsonburg followi ng a streetcar accident. Daniel and Ida had two children: Pearl, and Dal e.
