Calmes, George - entered service 1776 near Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia; granted Pension age 78 in Alleghany County, Maryland, 1834; brother of Revolutionary War General Marquis Calmes of Woodford County, Kentucky; soldier died 11/20/1834, & widow died soon after, leaving children: Isabelle wife of John Rogers of Morgantown, Virginia & Mary Hoge of Cumberland County, Maryland; Mary Hoge applied for Pension in 1849 as only surviving heir of soldier. F452.
