George Cain was baptised on 14th October 1821 at St Paul's Walden in Hertfordshire, son of Mary Cain formerly Parsons and her husband Henry Cain, a tanner. It is presumed George died young, given that his parents had another George baptised three years later, although no burial for this George has been found to confirm that theory. Alternatively, both baptisms may be the same child being baptised on two occasions.
