- BURKET
George R. Burket, Sr., 71, of 405 Center St., Boswell, died Jan.
19, 1975 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Aug. 18, 1903 in
Boswell, son of Benjamin Harry and Clara (Kunkle) Burket. Preceded
in death by parents; and wife, the former Grace Walker. Survived by
two children: George R. Jr., married to the former Virginia French
of Robins Air Force base, Georgia; and Kay, at home; and two
grandchildren. He was a brother of Mayme and Roy, both of Boswell;
Charles "Jim" of Hollsopple; Helen of Lakewood, Fla.; and Paul of
Johnstown. He owned and operated Burket's Restaurant in Boswell for
the past 30 years. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. (Monday) today
and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home,
409 Main St., Boswell, where services will be held 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, with the Rev. George A. Clark officiating. Interment,
Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
