Bloyd, but is filed here for lack of any other place to put it: Hello list, Just received pension papres for George W. Bloyd who served in the Companies A and K, 118th Illinois Infantry during the Civil war. There is not much info but will post what there is. The application was filed for by George's father Elijah Bloyd on July 20,1888. Filed a declaration for an original pension of a father form. States Elijah is 80 yrs. old at this time. George died from disability due to the service, on Jan. 9,1863, that said son George W. Bloyd left neither widow nor child under the age of sixteen years of age surviving; that the declarant was married to the mother of said son at Tazwell Co.,Illinois [no date]. That the mother of said son died at Waterford, Illinois [no date]. That there were surviving at date of said son's death his brothers and sisters, who were under sixteen years of age as follows: William Bloyd Eliza Jane Bloyd Henry Bloyd George Bloyd Charity Bloyd This was filed in the state of Illinois, Fulton Co.
