Funeral services for George Beidler of East Wenatchee were held Monday.
George Washington Beidler was born November 12, 1885, at Reading, Pennsylvania, and when he was 16 years old he enlisted in the Navy. He came to Chelan in 1909. He re-enlisted in the Navy and served throughout World War I, until 1923. In World War II he served in the Army Trasport Command from 1942 until 1945.
He, with his family, lived in Chelan for many years, building the home now occupied by Senator Wall and family. He served as Chelan County deputy sheriff from 1924 to 1928.
He died in a Leavenworth hospital Friday morning.
Survivors include his wife, Mayme; one daughter, Charlotte Beidler, Wenatchee; two sons.
