Wagon Maker Who? Mary Bearinger MARY BEARINGER died at the residence of her son-in-law, Rev. D. W. Downey, in Shelby, Richland Co., Ohio, Aug. 19th, 1868, aged 72 years, 5 months, and 4 days. She was a member of the Evangelical Association for thirty-four years. Her home (at West Independence, where she formerly resided) will be remembered by ministers of her own church, and also by itinerants of the United Brethren Church. She lived as she professed—walking in God's truth day by day. She loved the Bible, and made it her constant study; and in her departing moments she felt the power of the sustaining grace therein promised, and exclaimed to her youngest daughter, when dying, that her way was clear. She leaves many friends behind to lament their loss; but she sleeps in Jesus. All is well. T. D. Ingle Fostoria, Ohio, Sept. 2d, 1868. |
