Cedar City Cemetery Records, St. George Temple Records Personal records of Freadric Ashdown, Cedar City, Utah Family Bible of George Ashdown George Ashdown was accidently killed by a young man who had miss fired his rifle. At the time he was shot Grandma(Emily Fanny) had just kissed him good-by. He fell into her arms and died there. Grandma suffered much because of this accident. She had nightmares for many years. George was killed at the Ashdown sawmill in Brice Canyon. Many years later the bullet hole could be seen in the wall were it came through the building killing him.
