At the time he was shot Grandma(Emily Fanny) had just kissed him good-by. He fell into her arms and died there. Grandma suffered much because of this accident. She had nightmares for many years. George was killed at the Ashdown sawmill in Brice Canyon. Many years later the bullet hole could be seen in the wall were it came through the building killing him.
