From George Arnold‘s obituary:

George Solomon Arnold, second son of Christina and John Arnold, was born in Knox County, Ohio, Sep 8, 1847, and departed this life at the home of his son, Joseph Arnold, of Auburn, Indiana, April 16, 1914. In 1869 he was united in marriage to Ellen Jenkins Melton to which union were born seven children, five of whom with the wife have preceded him to the spirit world.
Of a genial, sunny disposition he made friends with all whom he came in contact, especially the little children. A faith in God that had no end that all would be well.”
