 George W. Allen, 54, Cumberland, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, shortly after being admitted in Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Meyersdale, a son of the late Oscar and Emily (Donges) Allen, and attended Meyersdale schools.  Mr. Allen was chief clerk to the general car foreman for Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, where he ws employed since 1927.  He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion, Brotherhood of Railways Clerks, and belonged to the Lutheran Church.
