LAUGHNER, Geneva O.
Age 90, formerly of 303 West Main St., Elkland, PA, died Sunday morning at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA following a brief illness. She was born December 17, 1917 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Carl O. and Ellen S.H. (Almquist) Olson. She married Donald W. (Doc) Laughner on June 23, 1939; he preceded her in death in 1990. She had resided in Elkland since 1951. She was a 1935 graduate of the Ridgway High School. She was a member of the Parkhurst Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elkland and a member of the Elkland Shakespeare Club. She had been employed by the Elkland Leather Company in the accounting office for several years. She is survived by one daughter, Jean L. Snyder and her husband, Austin I of Hatboro, PA; one son, John R. Laughner of Royersford, PA; two granddaughters, Suzanne Payer and her husband, Michael of Mullica, NJ, Julie A. Laughner of Pittsburgh, PA; two great-grandchildren, Samatha and Austin Payer; one niece and three nephews.
