Viola Call's diary, July 22, 1989. 1920 Census Ferndale, Whatcom, WA lists Genett, age 3, born in Washington. BARRAFORD, Fred, age 75 years, 1410 F Street, passed away at a local hospital, Friday, January 14, (1949) after a lingering illness. Mr. Barraford had been a resident of Bellingham for the past fifty-four years and was a member of the local Shingleweavers Union. Surviving relatives include his widow, Mrs. Barbara Barraford; two sons, George F., and Lawrence W. Barraford, and one daughter, Mrs. Genett Clifton, all of Bellingham; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Berger, Portland, Ore., Mrs. May Courage, Sellack, Wash., Mrs. Helen Hunason and Miss Bertha Barraford, both of Seattle, also numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 17 at 2 p. m. within the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Martyn Wilson officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be J. B. Watson, Clarence Lehn, George Neevel, Russell Ryason, August Janscius and Guy Bates. -- Genett Louise Clifton Genett Louise Clifton, age 89, passed away September 20, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in Ferndale on November 4, 1916, and was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. Genett married Cecil Clifton on June 3, 1939, in Mt. Vernon, WA. She enjoyed fishing and camping, her flowers and, most of all, her grandchildren. She was also a fan of the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks. Genett was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil and step- grandson, Jeffrey Smith. She is survived by her son, Ken (Nancy) Clifton; daughter Kathy (Stan) Mills; grandchildren Karen Helgeson, Kim Trail, Jeff Mills, Michelle Clifton; step-grand daughter Christina Mozey; great-grandchildren Heather, Cody, Holly and Haley Helgeson, Jake and Josh Willmorth, Stephanie Mills, Jeffery and Sarah Mozey; and niece, Eldeen Simmons. Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2005, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Jerns Funeral Chapel followed by a Graveside Service at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale with Rev.
