“BARRAFORD, Fred, age 75 years, 1410 F Street, passed away at a local hospital, Friday, January 14, (1949) after a lingering illness. Mr. Barraford had been a resident of Bellingham for the past fifty-four years and was a member of the local Shingleweavers Union. Surviving relatives include his widow, Mrs. Barbara Barraford; two sons, George F., and Lawrence W. Barraford, and one daughter, Mrs. Genett Clifton, all of Bellingham; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Berger, Portland, Ore., Mrs. May Courage, Sellack, Wash., Mrs. Helen Hunason and Miss Bertha Barraford, both of Seattle, also numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 17 at 2 p. m. within the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Martyn Wilson officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be J. B. Watson, Clarence Lehn, George Neevel, Russell Ryason, August Janscius and Guy Bates.”
