Gary Lee Schlegel, 59, of North Huntingdon, a devoted father and husband, died Friday, April 22, 2011, in Heritage Place of Shadyside. He was born May 9, 1951, in Greensburg, a son of the late Charles and Coletta Wahl Schlegel. A Hempfield Area High School, Boyce College and Triangle Tech graduate, Gary worked as a draftsman for Anter Corp. in Penn Hills for 25 years. He loved his job and his work "family." A Navy veteran, he proudly served our country for four years in Rota, Spain. Gary was happiest spending time with his family, granddaughter Kaitlyn and his friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting with his late father-in-law, Wayne Watson, his son, Evan, and friends. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in White Oak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Schlegel; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Janet Watson.
