HYNDMAN, Pa. - Gary J. Emerick, 54, of Hyndman, died Sunday, Sept. 24,2006, as a result of injuries received in an ATV accident in Fairhope. Born on July 16, 1952, in Cumberland, Md., he was a son of Earl L. Emerick Sr. and Lillian V. (Kiser) Emerick. He was preceded in death by his father. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Sierra D. (John) Watson; a son, Christopher E. Emerick; sisters, Gloria Jean (Fay)Leydig and Linda Figard, all of Hyndman; brothers, William O'Neal (Janet) Emerick of Ellerslie, Md., Earl L. "June" Emerick Jr. and Ronald R. Emerick, both of Hyndman; and many nieces and nephews. He worked for the Golden Rule and prior to that at the Glen Savage Ranch for many years. He also worked for the Hyndman Boro. He attended Bible Gospel Church. Gary enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved the fall. He was a hard worker and all around good guy. He also loved animals. Friends will be received at the Bible Gospel Church, Hyndman Road, Hyndman, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the church on Wednesday at 11am with the Rev. Fay E. Leydig officiating. Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
