    Garel R. Buford, 77, Huntingburg, died at 9:10 AM Saturday, May 30th at St. Joseph's Hospital in Huntingburg. A native of Birdseye, born May 12th, 1921, he was the son of the Rev. John W. Buford of Birdseye and the late Alma (Atkins) Buford. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 40 years and was a real estate agent for Key Associates. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of First Pentecostal Church in Birdseye. Survivors besides his father include his wife, the former Norma Jean (Speedy); a son, Gary Buford of Huntingburg; a daughter, Carolyn Cook of Evansville; a brother, Donald Buford of Birdseye; a sister, Shirley Genevieve Bayer of Dawson Springs, KY,; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
