Mrs. Garda Mae Kifer, 78, of 310 North Second St., the wife of Homer E. Kifer, died Sunday evening (September 19, 1963), in Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born in Adamsburg, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Susanne Radebaugh Miller.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeannette, the church's Women's Bible Class, Luthern Church Women, Thiel Women's Club, Chapter 69 of Order of Eastern Star and the Jeannette Women's Club.
Suviving in addition to her husband, are five children, Ellsworth of Jeannette, Darryle of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Susanne Watson of Jeannette, Earle of Olathe, Kan., and Mrs. Earl (Stella) Stiffy of Jeannette; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla., and one sister, Mrs. Harold (Florence) Kealey of Jeannette.
Friends may call at the Miller-Whitlatch-McClure Funeral Home, Jeannette, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily. Services will be conducted there by her pastor, Dr. Edgar B. Hands, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. Miller-Whitlach-McClure Funeral Home in charge.
