Galen George Crumrine, 64, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024, at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. His loss was unexpected, and his family and friends are profoundly saddened.
Galen was born on April 10, 1959, to Shirley (Grose) Pretl and Jay Crumrine in Hazelton, Idaho. He was the youngest of two sons. Galen graduated from Valley High School in 1978 and went on to become an accomplished electrician, working for his brother, Glenn, at Crumrine Electric until his retirement in 2014. As a colleague and tradesman, Galen was known for being dependable and for his exemplary quality of work.
Galen married Tomi Lu Shaw on November 18th 1989 and became a loving father to Tomi's daughter Maggie. The couple later welcomed daughter Tori, making their family complete. Galen was a devoted family man who very much loved his wife and daughters, and his grandchildren Vincent, Averee, Andrew, Josef, and Frankie, and great grandchild Paxton. Most of all, he provided stability and loyal friendship to all who knew him.
Galen loved to tend to his yard, which was apparent to any who drove past his home. He was known for having good eats and room at his table. He was quiet and kind and found a lot of purpose in helping others.
Galen was predeceased in death by his father Jay Sheldon Crumrine, who died December 27, 1996.
He is survived by wife Tomi (Shaw) Crumrine, daughters Maggie Amador and Tori Snell (Chris), grandchildren Vincent Amador, Averee Amador, Andrew Amador, Josef Snell, and Frankie Snell, and great grandchild Paxton Petruzzelli. Galen is also survived by his mother Shirley Pretl and brother Glenn Crumrine (Stephanie) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Galen George Crumrine will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on through his family, friends, and colleagues. In death as in life, Galen wouldn't want much fuss, just send forth a kind thought, say hello to a stranger, or hug a loved one. We love you, Galen.
