'Gabriel and Susan Mann Spruill lived in Fayette County until ca. 1845. On 29 November 1844 Gabriel "Sprewell" of Fayette County bought all of land lot # 15 in the Tenth District of Carroll County, Georgia ... The Spruills settled on this land and lived there until it was sold by Gabriel in the 1870's.'

Gabriel is thought to be one of the boys under the age of 20. His first known marriage was in 1834. However, some think he might have been living with another relative, especially since his brother John seems to have been the 15-19 year-old in this census. (There was a male aged 20-29 in the household of a different Gabriel Spruill (aged 30-39) of Fayette County, Georgia in the 1830 census.)
