2. Gabriel2 Ragsdale (Daniel1) (#83) was born Halifax, Virginia, USA 1759. Gabriel died 1797 Buncombe, North Carolina, USA, at 38 years of age.

He married Mary Davidson 1787. (Mary Davidson is #81.) Mary was born Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina, USA 1767. Mary was the daughter of Samuel Davidson and Ann Dunlop.

Gabriel Ragsdale and Mary Davidson had the following children:

3 i. Samuel3 Ragsdale (#1480) was born 1790. Samuel died 1845 at 55 years of age. He married twice. He married Elizabeth Crokett 1812. (Elizabeth Crokett is #3730.) Elizabeth was born 1792. He married Mary T. Love 1825. (Mary T. Love is #3731.) Mary was born 1793. 

4 ii. Daniel W. Ragsdale (#1481) was born Buncombe, North Carolina, USA 2/4/1791. Daniel died 5/25/1851 Aberdeen, Monroe, Mississippi, USA, at 60 years of age. He married Nancy Hayes Greer 1811. (Nancy Hayes Greer is #3729.) Nancy was born 1793. 

5 iii. Ruth Ragsdale (#158) was born Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina, USA 11/18/1793. Ruth died 6/16/1870 College Hill, Lafayette, Mississippi, USA, at 76 years of age. She married John Osimus Davidson Hardeman, Tennessee, USA, 1814. (John Osimus Davidson is #160.) John was born Buncombe, Tennessee, USA 1/29/1790. John was the son of John D. Davidson and Ruth Clements. John died 12/2/1856 College Hill, Lafayette, Mississippi, USA, at 66 years of age. (See John Osimus Davidson for the continuation of this line.) 

6 iv. Gabriel Blount Ragsdale (#2734) was born 1795. Gabriel died 1824 Monroe, Mississippi, USA, at 29 years of age. He married Hester Runnels 1817. (Hester Runnels is #3734.) Hester was born 1797.
