Friedrick and Erna were married in the Evangelical parsonage inWashington, Missouri on December 29, 1921. Erna's uncle Felix drove themto town in his new Dodge Sudan. The wedding reception was held in herparents rural home. Following they honeymoon in St. Louis, they settledon his cousin's farm northwest of Stotts City, Missouri.

Friedrick and Erna moved back to Washington, Missouri in 1925. Fredwanted to farm so they moved back to Stotts City, Missouri in January,1933. They bought a farm in 1934, living there until their deaths.
