  1. Officially, Friedrich's "father" was Johann Albrecht Wolf. Although, Johann Albrecht Wolf was the husband of Friedrich's mother, Anna Barbara Hahn, he was apparently not Friedrich's biological father.
Friedrich was born prior to his Mother's marriage (which was common at the time in Germany) and thus carried her last name instead of his father's last name. At this time, Friedrich's father is unknown but I am still researching it.
  2. Friedrich's carpentry shop was ion the 1st floor of the family home in Westheim.

Across the street from the home was a storm shelter. The family hid there at the conclusion of WWII as an American tank was parked on top, not knowing there was a family underneath. The Hahn's did not know if the troops above were Allies or the Russians and stayed hidden there for 3 days as the troops remained atop. They emerged only after ascertaining that it was Allied troops above.
Fritz Hahn, was a young boy at the time and was one of the cellar occupants in 1945 along with the rest of his family. He told this story to me.
