Note: A few genealogies call him Johann Friederich Adam Von Thurn, and equate him with the Johann Friederich Von Thurn baptized 8 May 1784. It is not known on what basis this identification exists - whether research established it, whether it is speculation, or whether it is an error originating from an incorrect matching. However, this identification exists in the Thurn Family records donated to the Rutherford B Hayes Presidential Center by Dr. Richard Thurn in 2003.[2] In the baptism records of his children, his name is given as Friederich Adam Thurn.
