Educated at Corpus Christi College in Galesburg, Illinois. Worked from 16 to 21 as a boiler maker at Frost Manufacturing Company, then worked as a brakeman for CB&Q Railroad until enlisting in the Army. Entered the Army on June 24, 1918, at Camp Grant, Rockford, Illinois. Arrived in France October 9, 1918, and served there until his honorable discharge at the end of July, 1919. Returned to work as brakeman for CB&Q Railroad. Drown in the Mississippi River near Quincy, Illinois, September 20, 1919. |
