Revolutionary War

Frederick Mabee was a Tory. His brother, Simon Mabee, was tried and executed on the charge of "being Employed by the Enemy as a Spy & for Enlisting men into their Service". His execution was on April 15, 1777 in Phillipsburg, Orange, New York.[4]

Settlement in Turkey Point, Ontario, Canada

Frederick Maby (Mabee) was listed as one of the early setters of Turkey Point AKA Charlotteville.[5] His father, Simon Mabee and the family, migrated in 1783 to New Brunswick, Canada. In 1793, Frederick Mabee brought his family to Turkey Point on Lake Erie.[6]

Death

Frederick Mabee passed away in 1794 at Turkey Point, Ontario, Canada (Now Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada)[7] He is said to be the first white man buried at the new settlement.
