    Craw Fish ‘King' Dies

    Funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church for Fred J. Sechtem, of 27 NE Floral Pl., who died Monday. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

    Mr. Sechtem was born July 19, 1866 near Cologne, Germany and came to the United States as a young man. He had been a resident of Portland since 1883.

    Mr. Sechtem was known as the "Original Craw Fish King" here and was the owner of the Quelle on SW 6th Ave. and Stark St. for many years, and later the Hofbrau on SW 6th Ave. and Alder St.

    He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

    Survivors include his widow, Naomi E., and several nieces.
